Photo Updates
Hey all. I posted some new pics below. Things are going well. Wilder's growing like a weed -- we think he's 10 lbs. plus these days. His grandpop Jon and grandma Sharon came for a visit and we had a ball. They got us out of the house with the kiddo, which was great. Wilder loves being out in public ... he just shows his love by sleeping nearly non-stop, which is, of course, much better than screaming : ) THAT he does at night, mostly. In fact, right now. I better go rescue dad from the wrath of a sleepy (yet unwilling to snooze) Wilder.
Love to all. We miss everyone and appreciate the calls, letters, cards and gifts of support. xoxo, k&j

Scenes From Week 2
More Smiling, Less Crying
That pretty much sums up the second week as opposed to the first, though of course we have yet to catch one of those smiles on camera. Anyway, things get smoother each day, and I think we're being spoiled by him as far as sleep is concerned -- for new parents, that is. Here are some more pics of his second week:

About last night
Well,
Last night went fairly well. Lil Wild-boy is sleeping at 2-4 hour increments. I went and got, at Kris's suggestion, a noise machine yesterday. You know, one of those little electronic devices that makes waves, thunder, a storm, crickets and some really lonely sounding wind. It is a small cube that also pulses through the spectrum of lights, very cool. In any event, Wilder likes it and it helps him to sooth. Nice for Kris and I cause when he is soothed, we are snoozed. (I know, not a word)
On a more earthy note, Wilder has a serious case of the squirts. I am amazed at how non grossed out I am by the whole concept. ...must be paternal hormones or something.
Anywho, got about 6 hours non-consecutive sleep last night, which means I am feeling great. Kris is sleeping now and Wilder is plastered across her bosom with a huge smile on his face. perfectly understandable.
