Hi all. Well, we've had a fun weekend so far. Mostly involving cleaning and shopping at Ikea (they recently opened one in Frisco, north of Dallas ... it rocks!). Our house had not only gotten out-of-control cluttered and filthy since I've gone back to work, but it was crammed with way too much furniture, baby stuff, etc. So Jerry and I (and Nanny B., I think) just decided that enough was enough. Not only have we been cleaning like madpeople, but we've reconfigured much of our space to allow for better flow from area to area. Not so much tripping over stuff and weaving around things like our house is a damn maze. Part of this reconfiguration involved buying a new corner desk for our office and a dining room table at Ikea (cheap cheap). Having the dining table is awesome. I'd forgotten how nice it is to sit down at a table and talk while you eat. We love it, and Jerry's in there now setting up Wilder's highchair -- he'll be in it sooner than we think.
My friend Julie from Denver should be arriving any minute now. She's visiting us through Tuesday.
Wilder continues to grow. It never fails when we tell someone how old he is, they comment "BIG baby!" He's also discovered his voice and will often yell his pleasure at some new game or toy. Loudly. VERY loudly. And his smiles get bigger every day ... that's the coolest thing. Can't wait for him to start laughing.
